BRIDGES is a well-known and respected nonprofit in Memphis that began as a way to bring teens of different races together to improve the city. Its mission has evolved into a focus on youth-led social change and its programs have changed and evolved as well, leaving a gap in understanding among some older alumni who are also potential donors. I helped the development staff identify key alumni activators to engage in the future through interviews and networking. I also wrote two fundraising pieces – a letter and a brochure – to encourage alumni to participate in the organization’s $20 million endowment campaign. I developed various media pitches for BRIDGES as well, including a profile of their beloved retiring CFO.
